The OMyCar platform connects drivers and share real-time traffic information (e.g. speed cameras, traffic accidents, parking tickets). We have integrated crowd-sourced information with navigation and came up with Smart Navigation – the ability to suggest alternate routes based on real-time traffic conditions. Second, our platform provides immediate Performance Feedback and a Reward Scheme to promote driving safety. There are missions to encourage drivers to drive better within the driving community on our platform. Drivers are shown feedback right after each trip. Completing missions will also earn drivers reward points, which can be used to redeem rewards on our platform. These efforts are to encourage drivers to drive better. Last, we provide Data Analytics. We help analyze driving behavior and patterns to help determine appropriate discounts on insurance premiums for drivers – higher vs. lower risks, occasional drivers vs. routine drivers, desirable vs. undesirable habits, etc. This is our contribution to UBI (Usage Based Insurance).

The company have 3 revenue streams, B2C for residential users and B2B for commercial premises. ASA also supply filter materials for HVAC system and support other brand’s products. The company has won the HK PolyU Tech Fund and is supported by Hong Kong Science Park incubation program.
